In a wet grinding process, Grind-Aid's formulation greatly improves the performance of water-soluble synthetic coolants. The Grind-AidTM micro-lubrication molecules combine with the molecules of the water-soluble coolant resulting in a coolant mixture with a dramatic increase in lubricity. This increase lowers the temperature of the grinding process. Thus improving grinding wheel accuracy, performance and life. Grind-AidTM also allows for the economic use of finer grit grinding wheels in a wet grinding process without the loss of grinding accuracy or quality.

When Grind-AidTM is added to a water-soluble synthetic coolant, its special cleanser helps to clean the grinding machine, coolant tank, pump, and lines. Grind-AidTM also includes ingredients that reduce coolant misting and prevents the growth of bacteria. Grind-AidTM helps to prevent the contaminating or degrading of vital grinder components from the ground material combined within the coolant mixture.
